Selection elements and matters needing attention of electric dynamometer
1. Dynamometer is often used in the test of AC/DC motor and electric tools. Dynamometer mainly tests the torque, speed and output power of the motor. But not every electric dynamometer can meet all the requirements of motor testing, mainly considering three factors:
First, the torque test range, the torque of the dynamometer is usually the maximum torque that can not exceed.

Secondly, the rotational speed test range, dynamometer torque sensor speed is usually not more than the maximum speed to withstand, if used for a long time will greatly shorten the service life of dynamometer, especially mechanical wear.
Thirdly, the standard power on dynamometer is the power that the dynamometer can absorb, because the general dynamometer (hysteresis, magnetic powder, eddy current dynamometer is to absorb heat to achieve energy consumption) that is, the output power of the AC/DC motor or electric tools to be measured. Strictly speaking, this index can not be exceeded, otherwise the dynamometer will easily be burned out because the heat can not be dissipated;
2. The selection of electric dynamometer should not only meet the three main technical indicators of speed, torque and power, but also see if it meets the specific requirements of the test. Generally speaking, the motor needs to test no-load speed, no-load loss, blocking torque and other parameters, which also need to be considered seriously!?
3. In the selection of dynamometer, it is better to have all the test data of the motor between 30% and 90% of the dynamometer performance parameters. Because the accuracy of the dynamometer in this interval is the most assured.
4. The commonly used dynamometers are mainly classified as follows: hysteresis dynamometer, magnetic powder dynamometer, eddy current dynamometer, electric dynamometer (DC, AC dynamometer).
The order of dynamometers according to the speed is as follows: eddy current dynamometer, electric dynamometer, hysteresis dynamometer, magnetic powder dynamometer.
(1) Eddy current dynamometer can not block the motor or electric tools, but its upper speed limit is very high, usually 20,000-30,000 RPM; torque can also be achieved very large.
(2) The speed of hysteresis dynamometer is generally below 20,000 revolutions, but it can stop the rotation, but the power is not too large; the torque is generally below 20 Nm.
(3) Magnetic powder dynamometer speed is low, usually 1500-5000 RPM, but the torque can be larger, the motor can also be done to block the rotation.

5. Electric dynamometer does not need water cooling, only air cooling can be; eddy current dynamometer, hysteresis dynamometer, magnetic powder dynamometer need water cooling and air cooling at the same time, but also some low-power hysteresis dynamometer can meet the test requirements without water cooling; dynamometer in use process, must turn on cooling function.
